Lowe's Canada extends temporary hourly wage premium throughout the month of May

Lowe's, RONA, and Reno-Depot corporate stores still looking to hire more than 3,000 seasonal and regular associates across the country

Boucherville, QC – May 4, 2020 – As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, Lowe’s Canada announces that it is extending the temporary $2 an hour wage premium for all eligible full-time, part-time, and seasonal hourly associates working at Lowe’s, RONA, or Reno-Depot corporate stores, contact centres, and supply chain facilities in Canada to the hours they will work throughout the month of May.

By maintaining the temporary hourly wage premium throughout the month of May, we want to continue supporting our associates who may be going through hardships, as well as recognize their amazing efforts and resilience as they work tirelessly to serve our customers while adapting our way of doing things to our new reality,” said Tony Hurst, President of Lowe’s Canada.

Lowe’s Canada’s spring hiring campaign continues

With hardware stores being considered essential services across the country, Lowe’s Canada’s corporate stores remain open, albeit subject to some restrictions in some provinces. To continue being there to serve Canadians while keeping the health and safety of its valued customers and dedicated associates its top priority, Lowe’s Canada is looking to fill more than 3,000 seasonal and regular positions this spring. Available positions include sales associates, receiving clerks, stockers, customer service associates, cashiers, merchandising service associates, lumber yard clerks, administrative support associates (in store), and drivers (class 1 and 3). Experience in the home improvement sector is not required for applying since all new associates will have access to training and mentoring suited to the various positions.
