Children's Miracle Network and Opération Enfant Soleil
At Lowe's Canada, we are committed to making a difference in the communities we serve and where our employees and their families live. That is why we are supporting, for a third consecutive year, the work of 14 children’s hospitals across Canada through our partnership with Children's Miracle Network and Opération Enfant Soleil. We want to help offer advanced care to sick children in Canada and support their families.
Opération Enfant Soleil
To support Opération Enfant Soleil’s mission, Quebec residents can purchase draw tickets for the Maison Enfant Soleil named after Jayden for $10 each. We are proud to once again be the official supplier of building materials for the house, a sponsorship valued at $120,000. A virtual tour of this great house can be taken on Opération Enfant Soleil’s website (in French only).
Children's Miracle Network
This edition of our campaign benefitting Children's Miracle Network is particularly special because the face of this year’s campaign is Hudson, the son of Brian Pedlar, Assistant Store Manager at Lowe’s West Edmonton, Alberta.
Each donation helps support 2.6 million children like Hudson through 14 Canadian hospitals.
To support associates and communities affected by the pandemic, we announced, on April 14, 2020, a philanthropic investment of $1 million. From this amount, we will present a donation of approximately $1,200 per corporate store to Children's Miracle Network and Opération Enfant Soleil to compensate for the cancellation of the in-store fundraising campaign. This sum will be added to the amounts raised thanks to the online campaign.
We have been a proud partner of Children's Miracle Network and Opération Enfant Soleil since 2018. Thanks to the dedication of our associates and the generosity of our customers, our network of corporate and affiliated dealer stores was able to present a collective total of over $1.8 million during the two previous editions.
