Lowe's Canada Heroes

A campaign that helps transform neighbourhoods into communities

Our stores and employees share the desire to serve Canadians and their projects, whether they be home improvement projects or inspiring projects in their communities. For the Lowe's Canada Heroes campaign, each Lowe’s, RONA, and Reno-Depot corporate store in the country supports a non-profit organization or public school in their community throughout September. In 2019, over 245 organizations and public schools across the country—true local heroes—benefitted from the fundraising campaign and corporate donation.

Employees at the Lowe’s Sunridge store in Calgary had to be bailed out, and all funds raised were presented to the local Boys and Girls Club.

In addition to raising funds for J’ai mon appart’, employees from the RONA store in Shawinigan worked towards raising awareness about the importance of the organization’s supervised apartment project.

Firefighters from the Township of Elizabethtown-Kitley in Ontario brought smiles to children’s faces during a fundraising activity organized by the RONA Brockville store.

The support of employees and customers at the Réno-Dépôt store in Brossard helps the Société Alzheimer Rive-Sud to keep offering essential services to people affected by the illness.

1,200,000 thank-yous

From September 1 to 30 2019, we witnessed our customers and employees carry out many acts of generosity in order to help our hero organizations transform our neighbourhoods into communities. To top it all off, Lowe's Canada matched 50% of all funds raised in store, up to a maximum of $2,000 per store.

At the end of our Heroes month, the Lowe's Canada family will present $1.2 millions to organizations making a tangible difference in the communities we serve. Some employees will maintain their commitment by taking part in volunteer activities before the next campaign to further support the mission or a specific project of their charity partner.
